Many poor/ low income families who are relying on the government housing vouchers, are ending up in poverty and crime, which is distant from the city. These shelters are known to be located very far from jobs, services, and decent public transformation that many other people use. The families living in these neighborhoods are being segregated, away from the high-poverty areas, and have no access to public services, jobs, and opportunities to help individuals find a solution to escape the poverty. Reports have been made that the statistics regarding poverty have no gotten better throughout the years. Rather than escaping poverty, many families are getting stuck. These areas where voucher families live are also extremely dangerous. Over the years, there have been shootings. Statistics show that there are over ten shootings a year, and in each voucher neighborhood, around 55 percent is filled with children. The poverty is getting concentrated, especially with neighborhoods such as this one.
