There are millions of families who are struggling to put food on the tables, gas in the car, or even pay monthly costs. Families that have children have the heaviest burden, as infants and toddlers are some of the poorest members of the American society. Child-related costs have been going up throughout the years, and it has been extremely difficult for young parents. People are wanting to fix this issue, since studies show that children who grow up poor or in poverty, are most likely going to drop out of school when they are older. They are also known to experience health problems , become involved in a criminal justice system, or live the rest of there life in poverty. The amount of child poverty in the United States costs the economy $672 billion each year. However, there is the Child Tax Credit, as well as the Earned Income tax Credit, which is helping with pulling children out of poverty.
